I have a mid size db that I have been using for about 6 years. A while ago I realize that some old records start to loose some info inside fields that werent blocked. Could these be caused by unproper shutdowns?:.

If you dont think that, what else could it be?

I'd say you ar right -- it might be a sign of database corruption. Start backing your database up NOW, and as some basic maintenence save some compredded copied of all the databases (using the Save a Copy As command) and start working from those.
