WEIRD -- need help (not finding what it should)

I've got a bunch of container fields.

They fill themselves with an image from one of two fields.

The container either gets nothing : "" or red.png or yellow.jpg

Then i have a text field which is a calculation.. the calculation is simply the name of the container field resulting as text-- so it gives "", "red.png" or "yellow.jpg"

This all works fine.. I have a layout that shows both the container field and the text field,

and I see a bunch of graphics with the appropriate text beside the color.

A bunch are yellow, and a bunch are red.

When I do a find on the text field, if I search for "red.png", it finds

all the records that have either "yellow.jpg" or "red.png" in the text field!

it should only find the ones that have "red.png" !!

and if I search for "yellow" it finds no records !!

but they're there, I'm looking at them

please help me if you can ! thanks
