I am running Filemaker 7 Server on Windows 2000 Server, and client computers are all running FMP 7 on Win XP. I want to use the external authentication by the Windows 2000 Server, but I don't know much about the LDAP, Active Diretory... confused.gif so I don't know where to begin. Can anyone show me the requirements and steps for how to setup the external authentication for filemaker?

Some client computers are running Win XP home edition. Does it matter to use external authentication for filemaker?
