fmserver and shell commands

Featured Replies

Does FileMaker Server expose any shell commands for starting and quitting the *server (not just the config utility)? Can I start the server on system startup? If all else fails, what pid (or name) do I look for if I need to kill it? Thanks much,

JR Bernal

I tried server 5.5 on OS X a while (but switched back to OS 9 due to initial problems with indexing german, in the meanwhile solved with an updater), and can remember slightly that I also played with the fmserverd command in the terminal (try first fmserverd help, maybe it's also fmsadmin as in FMS7). However, I did not find any documentation for that, so this is on your own risk.
