jbernal Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Does FileMaker Server expose any shell commands for starting and quitting the *server (not just the config utility)? Can I start the server on system startup? If all else fails, what pid (or name) do I look for if I need to kill it? Thanks much, JR Bernal
Martin Brändle Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 See FM techinfo article 107911 See also FM techinfo article 107635 I tried server 5.5 on OS X a while (but switched back to OS 9 due to initial problems with indexing german, in the meanwhile solved with an updater), and can remember slightly that I also played with the fmserverd command in the terminal (try first fmserverd help, maybe it's also fmsadmin as in FMS7). However, I did not find any documentation for that, so this is on your own risk. Martin
jbernal Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 Martin, Excellent advice. This is exactly what I was looking for.
