I went back to the drawing board and fixed my previous problem but I have one hurdle left. I have now successfully set up popcal1.0 to trigger from my field "closed" and it enters the date correctly. However does anyone know why popcal comes up on the screen every time I call for a new record? Can this be disabled?

Regarding the secondary request, to pop up the windows calculator, create a script with Script Step Send Message in v6, or Send Event in v7. Open the file filewin:/c:/windows/system32/calc.exe in v7. In v6, send message:File would be c:windowssystem32calc.exe.
