can't delete fields

Hello, I hope anyone can help we with this problem:

when I am working on the Mac (10.3.8) I can't delete any field from an special existing database. When I transfer this file to the PC then this fields can be removed. Does anyone know about this?

Welcome to the Forums.

You're probably running into a permissions issue, on the OS level. In the Finder, select the file, then select File->Get Info (or cmd-I) and check that you are allowed to modify (to read & write) the file.

thanks for your reply. I checked de permissions but all of them (4) are "read & write" I also run de tool "reset permissions" from the system. It didn't work. I own fmp sice v. 2.1; never had such a problem.
