I'm trying to find a way to set some status fields, in particular CurrentNetworkChoice. I want to have a particular network protocol (TCP/IP) verified. If it is not TCP/IP. I want to set it to that and then have my script pop a message saying you will need to restart the application. That part is easy, as is the checking the protocol. But short of popping open the Application preferences, I don't know how or if I can script the network choice change.

Any ideas???

The status functions are only indicators. You cannot change their values via calc/script.

Like you said, the best you can do is do a show message with instructions, then from a utility/blank db in the solution, close all the other files, and open the app prefs dialog from a util.

Thanks for the reply. Not the answer I was looking for. I had noticed you can change the multi-user status via script and was hoping that I could do the same with the NetworkChoice.
