save change with layout

We are using FileMaker Server 7 to serve a database. FileMaker Pro 7 clients are connecting to the database using an account that uses the default [Data Entry Only] privilege set. Clients have enabled "Save layout changes automatically (do not ask) in Preferences > Layout.

When clients navigate manually between View as Form, View as List, and View as Table in Browse mode, they are presented with a "Do you wish to save this change with the layout? (Yes/No)" dialog--even when no changes have been made to data (let alone the layout).

When clients with default [Data Entry Only] privilege set use a script whose only step is View As [Cycle] to navigate between View as Form, View as List, and View as Table in Browse mode, they are not presented with "Do you wish to save this change with the layout? (Yes/No)" dialog.

When connecting to database using an account with the default [Full Access] privilege set, clients are not presented with "Do you wish to save this change with the layout? (Yes/No)" dialog--even when clients have not enabled "Save layout changes automatically (do not ask) in Preferences > Layout.

From testing, "Save layout changes automatically (do not ask) setting in Preferences > Layout seems to be irrelevant. (A close reading of the dialog text might indicate its irrelevance, as well.) Is there a privilege set option that affects appearance of "Do you wish to save this change with the layout? (Yes/No)" dialog? Is there some other setting we might try?

Thanks,

Sean
