From my client file I am trying to view purchase historys and totals. With a portal to Sales Line Item, I can see what the client bought, but I am having trouble creating fields for a client's sales totals, and separating them by, this year, last year, 2 years ago, etc. Showing totals for the entire period recorded is now problem. but it would be soooo nice to break up the years.

Any suggestion how to calcluate this?

How about creating a calculation that is the sum

of the total price per piece

for a given year.

The file contains records for the past 5 years.

It is easy to calculate the year for each record.

But how do you total the price per piece for all the sales to a specific client for only a specific year?

I know you can do this with a summary part in a layout for Preview or Print, but you should be able to calculate it as well. Right? FM can do anything!
