jodibee Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 Hi, I have table a, table b and a number of "other" tables. I want table a to relate to the "Other" tables based upon field a (common to both tables), I want table b also to relate to the "Other" tables but based on field b (also common to both tables but not table a). I have successfully created this relationship with one of the "Other" tables but when attempting to create the relationships with the remaining "Other" tables I receive the following message: "There cannot be more than one relational path between any two tables in the graph. Another occurrence of one of the tables must be added to the graph". Can anyone explain why this is the case and how I can structure the required relationships? Thanks
BobWeaver Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 You can add another occurrence of the table you want to link to (hence the term "table occurrence" or TO). Click the little "add" icon in the bottom left side of the relationship window to add one. Also have a look at the link posted by RalphL in this thread: http://www.fmforums.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=156204&an=0&page=0#156204
