This will be the inaugral meeting for the San Fernando Valley chapter.

This first meeting will be a general session to let attendees know more about FMPug and the very many benefits of membership.

There will be a presentation of one of Matt Petrowsky's video lessons to get everyone in the FileMaker mood.

We will also discuss general FileMaker topics and find out what topics you are interested in learning and/or speaking about.

What's the difference between this new FMPUG group and the already existing FMDiSC group ? Is this group intended to be more user-oriented than FMDiSC (which is very developer-oriented)?

Hello! Sorry I did not catch your post earlier today.

Our group is all about learning. It is brand new and, from all I've learned from the great people at FMPug, it can be whatever we want it to be. In fact, we talked about there being lots of users out there who want to learn more and might be interested in this group. I have only been using FileMaker for about 1 1/2 years so to many I am still a 'newbie' and somewhere between user and developer.

Your best bet is to join us on Wednesday night. It is our very first meeting, which means whoever joins us will be part of deciding our direction. Besides, we have a great prize for some lucky person!
