NEED help scripting a Find!

Hi. Ok so basically I set up 4 category fields in my contact database, each pulls up a pull-down menu of items, for example; customer, vendor, need to call, etc.

but when i do a find, if the menu item is in a different field, it wont find.

i need to like link the four category fields so that no matter which field i do a find in, if (for ex) "customer" is in any of the four field, it will pull up the record.

does anyone understand what i mean and can help me?

ive never scripted anything in filemaker before
