plugin for phidget rfid reader

hello all,

our companys employees must swipe a barcode card when they enter or leave the building, i have a script that is in a constant loop to basically log them in or out. the barcodes are not optimum because they scratch all the time and get dirty etc, so i was looking at http://www.phidgetsusa.com/cat/viewproduct.asp?category=10000&subcategory=10100&SKU=2002

and was wondering how i can get the output of an rfid card when it is read into the active filemaker textfield followed by the return / enter key. i think i need a custom plugin which a.) interfaces to the rfid reader and b.) which gets the data in to the text field. can cnyone help?
