Generating Notes

Dear members,

I hope I am posting my inquiry in the right location. Otherwise, please appologize and rest assure that as time goes on, I'll be more acquainted with the site and the proper forums.

In any event, my question is regarding 'recurring note creation.'

I've tried several ways to achieve the following to no avail:

In a portion of my database, I'd like to have a button that whenever pressed creates a note with a time and date posted beside it, sort of the way ACT creates notes. It creates an icon link of a note that when pressed opens the note on a separate window. One can create a number of notes by pressing the SAME note button.

How can I do this?
