I have set up two simple FMP files with a single relationship linking them to enable data from fields in one file to be displayed on the coresponding record on the other. This works fine for some fields but erratically in another. In this case the data shows accurately on some records, but on others it is absent until the mouse pointer is clicked on the appropriate field, when it then displays. Once displayed it remains visible after browsing other records and then returning. I have a feeling that it is often the same records which display unprompted but it is not consistent. I have tried reinstalling FMP and I have tried creating an entirely new set of files and importing some original data but the effect persists. On a previous attempt 'absent' numbers were in some cases partially displayed until clicked on. I am working on a Performa 5500/275 and also a Powerbook 5300cs using FMP 4.0v1.

Help please

Yes. I did have that problem in which caser only part of the data was displayed as there was space. In this case, however, when I say data was only partly displayed I meant numbers were only partialy formed until clicked on.
