niessen Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Hi- I am wondering if anyone has any experience using SyncDek to synchronize databases. We are a small office with a few remote users currently connecting through a VPN. This connectivity however is very slow so I am looking into alternative ways to share our database. Our database contains patients' medical information and I don't think sharing via the web is a good option. If this is not the right subforum to address, could someone please direct me to the correct one. Thanks for any input.
Zero Tolerence Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Filemaker has the ability to "Share" your database to up to 5 users at a time. Look for Filemaker Network.
Jalz Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Hi Niessen, I use SyncDeK, its a good little plugin, but it does have its disadvantages as well. I would personally try to setup a Windows Terminal Server, and have your remote users connect to that.
