jccollins Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I have a form with data being compiled and inserted into a layout using the Set Field(..) command. It previews well but will randomly NOT print words in the middle of the report.(leaving the area blank) If I insert the same calc into a container field it will all print, every time. However, I have type commands( bold, font change ect....) that will not print out of a container field. I didn't want to use the container field, I was just experimenting to see the results. I have downloaded the Developer V7 Update as well. I have broken the data into sections to see if volume was the problem. The form was imported from Word oringinaly, could there be hidden codes? I have deleted the problem areas, retyped them , and still the same problem. Any information is appreciated. Thanks
jccollins Posted May 5, 2005 Author Posted May 5, 2005 I have also tried blocked text with merged fields. Printed to PDF instead of actual printer and the PDF document has the missing text as well. It's not just loosing fields, it will loose portions of the block text as well.
rasta Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Hi, I also have this problem with layouts that contain blocked text (justified left and right). (On WIN2k using fmp7.v3.) Its driving me crazy! I contacted Filemaker support and spent some time talking to them until they came to the conclusion that this is a bug with "some" fonts (I'm using Times New Roman! and it does this with all font I have tried expect Courrier). I have had to go through hundred of layouts and refomat the text to justified left only. My client doesn't find this a very cool "feature" of fmp7 after having spent on upgrading to fmp7 for 60 users and the migration that it incured. So NO solution from Filemaker Support... If anyone has any ideas.
