missedplaced Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Ok, sorry about this question, but I wanted it to be sure before I go on a learning quest! Is it possible to create a fmp 7 database with a fmp 7 server but have the terminal computers not running os X? Half of my school district is moving to os X and the other half is not becuase of hardware issues. I would really like to use 7. And converting from one version to the next really screws with the scripts I write. Any suggestions?
Fenton Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 No, FileMaker 7 only runs on OS X, and the FileMaker 7 file format is not compatible with FileMaker 5-6 files.
Martin Brändle Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Do you mean that you can access with Windows FM 7 clients an FMS 7 server on OS X (Server)? This works without any problems!
