I am new to FM but I was pulled on that and have no choice...Our user has FM 4.1 application ( 8 files ) developed 8 years ago on MAC. The person who did that left the company and soon something broke - fields became un-editable. I am trying to fix it and open a local copy on my windows machine.The problem is- all files have fp4 extention and I can't open them - so I did some research and re-named them to fp3. I can open them now, but the problem is that there is a lot of scripting referring to other files with fp4 extension, so application will not work...Does anybody know what can be done ?

I was able to open fp4 files, they just will not open for Windows explorer, but opend from FM.Is there any potential downside with fp4 extention I can expect in the future ? I mean migration, conversion, merging, etc ?
