We are building a FM solution based on FM Server Advanced. FMPro users will be uploading mass data, while web users willl retrieve it via CWP. I estimate the database will have millions or tens of millions records in a short period of time. There will be 2 or 3 FMPro users and 100s of web users.

Is a Filemaker SErver a right tool for database of this size? Does anybody deployed such a huge solution?

I've been doing some testing in our environment here, and had to load huge amounts of data from our financial system. We're talking about 5 mil records.

As long as you make sure everything is properly indexed after its imported or loaded, I haven't seen any problems. I have done web searchs as yet, but, in the client app, I was able to do a 3 mil record select in about 10 seconds.
