wjmartin Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I hope you guys can help - I have built a DB in FMPDev7 and set my users so they can create new records. If I open the DB locally as each user they can make new records, if I serve the DB using FMPDev7's built in server they can still create records - but when I serve the DB on full FMServer7 ALL my users loose their ability to make records, including the Admin user - the DB becomes write only even tho I have the permissions set right on the DB itself
Ender Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 In the Finder, change the permissions for the database files so that the group 'fmsadmin' has Read and Write permission. This is a common problem when moving files to the Databases directory with Server 7 in OS X.
Fenton Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 And the files' owner is "fmserver", with read & write. There is an example file in the FileMaker Server's Databases folder.
