Connecting OS9.2 to OSX - not working

I've got an OSX 10.3.8 machine set to share 3 Filemaker 5.5 files. I'm trying to connect to it using "Open Remote" from a powerbook with OS9.2.2 and it just isn't working.

I've confirmed that the files are "shared" and that the network has integrity. I'm able to mount the OSX machine and view the shared files from "local Network" in the Network Browser. Also... on the OS9 machine... I'm able to "Open Remote" to a separate OS9 machine acting as the server for the same files. Of course, I'm not trying to do this all at once. I've tried different configs: isolating two machines at a time: OSX and the Powerbook, and and OS9.2 (serving) and the Powerbook (which works.)

Whatever it is... it seems to be something about connecting to the 10.3.8 machine. (I'd also tried this on a Tiger machine... but moved to an 10.3.8 machine to eliminate any Tiger issues.)

Thanks for any help.

ADDENDUM... Yee haw!

Finally figured out I had to set the "Guest" Filemaker preference to use TCI/IP. All is working. (Still haven't tried it on Tiger yet.)
