Who can advise me to buy a good (the best) book on FileMaker:

Using FileMaker 7, Special Edition

Haven't read the Filemaker Pro 7 Bible, but the FMP6 Bible was best for beginners.

Using FM7, Special Edition is the best book for intermediate-advanced users that I've seen.

Yes, the 'Special Edition' is a great book. And at around $35, it's a good bargain.

I mainly use it as a reference point, although it is written in a way that you could actually read it cover to cover and not get too bored with it.

I would shy away from the Sams "Teach Yourself" book. I have two others in the series, and I'm not very impressed with them.

The FileMaker 7 Bible is pretty much the same as previous editions - that is, it's a decent enough reference book, but not in the class of Special Edition.
