Finding / Searching for files on a hard drive

Does FileMaker incluse a search function that allows for searching the contents of files on a hard drive or server.

I have recruitment database that references files (CV's) into a container but gives me little info about that file which has been attached - is there a way of searching its contents - this would be very very helpful.
