I placed a password and key for one database but not another, and the second database (upon opening) asks for an account name and password, which I had never set up. Is there any way of troubleshooting this so that I can get into the database? I just spent two weeks entering data without without the system ever requiring a password and suddenly it is asking for it. What can I do?

When you create a new database file, it automatically creates an admin user with a blank password. If you didn't remove that account, you should be able to access the database using that admin account.

You can try the default Username : Admin without password
