I am looking for some good books or other resources for Filmaker 7 development. Functions, Scripts, Developer, and Web Publishing. I am a beginner and really need to learn the basics then more advanced stuff.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There are a number of threads concerning this, but to reiterate what seems to be a consensus:

Special Edition Using FileMaker 7 gets the most praise, but may be diving into the deep end if you really are an absolute beginner.

The FileMaker Pro 7 Bible has tons of reference material and is good for beginners, but is a bit dense.

The Visual Quickstart series hasn't released their FMP7 book - theirs have been excellent beginners books in the past, but I don't know if you want to wait for it.

There are lots more out there, and you may want to look into taking a class for the basics (much better to learn initially from a human than from a manual). Of course, that's just me self-advertising, as I teach FMP in New York.
