Han Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 Hallo All, I have posted my filemaker to host (Filemaker Server 7 v3 & Windows Server 2003), if i'm open .fp7 files from client sometimes the message "Communication with the host was interrupted and couldnot be re-established. All affected windows will be closed" appear then i'm check in server, the FM server is down. why ? Can you help me ? Thank you
gdurniak Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 If FM7 Server is shutting down, there are many possible causes 1. there may be a corrupt file. See http://masdevelopment.com:3455/1/57?view=print 2. try turning off scheduled backups 3. check the event log. The shutdown could be a windows problem, or a hardware failure I've had a brand new windows 2003 PC crash every day, due to a memory problem
Han Posted June 3, 2005 Author Posted June 3, 2005 Hallo Gregory Durniak Thank you for your info I think this problem caused from my damaged script, because i can't open, edit, delete a script, if i edit that script then error message appear and then FM Server shutting down. How to removing a Damaged Script ? Thank you
gdurniak Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 you may be stuck then try reverting to a recent backup copy otherwise, as a last resort, try the "Recover" command. It MIGHT strip out the damaged script again, see my post http://masdevelopment.com:3455/1/57?view=print
Han Posted June 8, 2005 Author Posted June 8, 2005 Hallo Gregory Durniak I have tried the Recover command, but my scripts deleted all, not damaged script only. Thank you
