Newbies Mark Snyder Posted June 2, 2005 Newbies Posted June 2, 2005 Hi, I'm new to the Windows version of FileMaker. I was dismayed to find when a window is maximised to fill the application window, no other window can be displayed. If I try to popup another window in front, the background window is reduced in size. I understand this is a limitation built into the Windows version of FileMaker. However, when I then use a smaller window size, which allows for multiple windows, I run into another snag. If any part of the window is moved outside the boundries of the screen, another set of scroll bars appear. They seem to be designed to scroll the window back into view, but will not disapear, even when the window is moved back into the center of the screen. They also cover up part of my window. I am developing an application which will be used by users who are not very comfortable with computers (all on the Windows platform.) I can envision a scenerio where they accidently move the window and the additional scroll bars appear. Does anyone know of a plugin which can lock a window in a preset position on the screen? Better yet, can those scroll bars be disabled? Thanks.
