I seem to have a constant problem where my sales people are trying to do a apple f for find and hit the d for duplicate. I am constantly removing the dups with a script I found here. They have to add records for notes and such, but can I disable the duplicate function? Thanks

It's a lot safer to give people Accounts with Privileges, Menu access set to "Editing Only." That way they cannot hit most command keys. This means you have to give them buttons for Find, Show All, Delete Record, New, etc.. But these are pretty simple, may not even need a script.

Or if they whine about missing apple-F, just restrict them from being able to create new records in the privileges. Then if they need to create new records, they'll have to do it via a scripted button that runs with full access.

Or you can buy New Millenium SecureFM or Dacons MenuControl, and add delete any menu items you want.
