Hi there!

I am wanting to use a field as a calculation (as money).

Eg, Field one =

I may misunderstand you but you only want the Pound-sign in front of the amount? Goto layout modus, goto the field , right mouse button and select number format (or similar, i'm using a dutch version). there you can specify the currency symbol.

if you meant how to set up a calculation field calculating 17,5 %:

field 2 = (field 1 / 100 * 17.5) (The decimal point maybe a ',' depending on your settings.
