We have our own job system developed in FileMaker v6 and are not yet in the position to upgrade to 7. The users passwords to the job system are stored on an individual record in a FileMaker db normal text field. To be SOX compliant we need to be able to hide the users passwords from everyone. At the moment because I have the master development password, I can view everyone

but with the master password, you will still be able to get access to anyone's password even when encrypted, unless you come up with a one-way hash function so that passwords cannot be retrieved under any circumstance.
