Delay when opening remote files

I recently set up a FM7 server that is hosting about 11 databases.

When i open the d.bases from a client machine for the first time there

is a considerable lag when switching between d.bases and even after

the first one opens. After navigating through everything once it seems

to be fine. I have redefined the file references on all files but the delay

still remains. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any

wisdom.
