Mark L Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 OK - So on some level I hope this question is going to have one of those "Doh!" answers - because I need it answered quickly: I have a layout that is composed of one field - it's a giant checkbox - and it used by calling it from another view of the table, so the user can select from one for 300+ listings in a List; it works great! BUT... when I needed to work with exactly the same field - related to a different table, I copied my existing layout: - Pointed the layout to the new table - Edited the field, so it properly points to the appropriate field on the new table Everything seems fine - BUT the checkbox won't accept a check - seems you can't edit it. Naturally, I checked the tables - of both the new and old field - and there is nothing that blocks user data entry. I even created a brand new field in my new table and put it into the troubled layout - made it a check box etc - and it also won't click to allow making checks. Obviously, I'm missing something very basic - but what is it? Thanks in Advance, Mark
Mark L Posted June 9, 2005 Author Posted June 9, 2005 Well - I found my own answer - and it's definitely in the "Doh!" category (as I guessed) - I had associated the layout with the wrong table. (I noticed it because when testing I saw the number of records in the Status Bar was incorrect.) -Mark
