elvis_impersonating_penguin Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 this is just something i have been wondering about.. not really a big deal, but is there a way to put comments in a calculation. I have some calc fields that could probably use some explanation. I know most programming language do, i just find it hard to believe that FileMaker wouldn't incorporate this.
Steven H. Blackwell Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 do the calc and then put &(Left, comments,0). That will work I believe. Or if the calculation involves a ScriptMaker step, just use the comments step. HTH Old Advance Man
elvis_impersonating_penguin Posted January 18, 2002 Author Posted January 18, 2002 thanks, i never thought of that.. makes some sense though.. but I still think that they need a comment tag in the calculations.. it just makes sense..
