how to set a value to a field

Featured Replies

Is there a way to set a value to the current field? or a field by calculation, or etc etc... anything like:

Set Field [ <thisfield> ]

??

  • Author

nevermind ... idiot user error.

Set Field [ <not_specified> ; myValue ]

works

  • Author

Thank you. smile.gif The first example right? It's the same principle, just with an Insert instead of a Set Field.

The italian makes it kinda hard, but the script iteself is in english. I get that the portal text field that describes the checkbox portals is explicitly set to the checkbox with focus ... and this does not change focus so he can then use Insert and not specify a field to make the next change on the field that was clicked, even after the Set Field ran. So Set Field doesn't change focus... that's the magic.

But what if there was a commit record in between? Now focus is forcibly reset.

Hi,

This is a translation of Babelfish!

I'm not sure to have understood well.

As the lookup is defined with:

number record = number record

the field is always the right one
