Server: Filemaker Server 7 Advanced v3 on OS X 10.3.9

Client: Filemaker Developer 7 v3 on OS X 10.3.8

For whatever reason when I try to open a remote DB the server is listed but the actual DB I created is not though I do see the sample DB.

Because I had my db hosted in a non-standard location (which I did point to and was verified) I thought I would copy it to the standard location as well and still it can't be seen.

Other steps information:

- In Server Admin the DB is shown with a Staus: Normal

- Max number files to host: 50

So any clues why I can only see the sample db and neither of the other 2?

Also thought of one other thing... The DB was created with Developer if that could effect anything.

Welcome to the Forums.

Make sure that the file is not set to multi-user(hidden), and then check to make sure that Server is set to host single-user files (in case it is a single-user file).

Because you can see the db in Server Admin, that means that the Server has indeed opened the file, so I would imagine that it is one of the above things - most probably the file is set to be hidden.

Sorry, some of the language I used was more appropriate for FileMaker 5 or 6; things have changed in FM7.

Shut down FM Server (click "stop serving" or whatever the button is), then open the file(s) using FileMaker Pro/Developer. Under the FileMaker menu in the menu bar, go to Sharing -> FileMaker Network, and you'll see the "Network Access to Files" pane; these are the controls you're after for the file itself. Check that all your files will be visible by opening them & looking here. Then, start up FileMaker Server again. If the files are still not visible, it's a setting you can change in FMServer Admin, but I can't recall what that is right now.
