Newbies rlsinning Posted June 15, 2005 Newbies Posted June 15, 2005 We have a database which Management wants to track by Time how long work is in each Department. Found sample for calculating the Number of Workdays but nothing in Time. Example fields: Files Here TimeStamp Done PF TimeStamp Time in PF Calculation in Time excluding Weekends Any suggestions ?
RalphL Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Are you running 24 hours per day? What about lunch breaks? Difference between timestamps in FMP 7 is seconds. I have seen some very neat solutions for this in pre 7.
Newbies rlsinning Posted June 15, 2005 Author Newbies Posted June 15, 2005 Yes - we are running 24 hours per day. We do not need to track Lunch Breaks. We are wanting to exclude Weekends and Holidays as no one should be working !
RalphL Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 I have found an old (2002) FMP 5 - 6 set of tables that I developed for a similiar request. It was for a 1 shift operation with overtime. It could be modified for your use. It uses a table of holidays to exclude them. It also excluded the lunch break. I will post it if you are interested.
Newbies rlsinning Posted June 15, 2005 Author Newbies Posted June 15, 2005 Yes - I would like to look it over. Not many replies to this post yet. Thanks you for your time as I have been researching the web for answers.
RalphL Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Okay, here is the file. Look at the Developer layout for the notes I made. In Holidays you will need to change hours to 24
RalphL Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 I am sending another set of files. I think this one is more complete than the first set.
