Thousands separator

I built a calculation that results in text much like this "XXXX pieces inserted". Where XXXX is a variable number, the problem is the thousands separator does not show. I've placed the entire field in a merge field.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Why are you using a calculation if you are going to use merge field. Why not "<<Number>> pieces inserted." Then format the number to use the thousands separator.
