Remote databases

I don't know where to post this question, so I'll try here first. I have 10 separate locations that all have a membership database in FM7. The company wants to tie all the locations together. My concern is if the internet connection is slow or goes down, there is no local backup. Is there a way to sync a filemaker database between computers using Filemaker? Thanks for any help you can give me.
