Secure E-Mail with FileMaker 5 pro with LASSO

Featured Replies

Goal: Ability to send secure e-mails with FileMaker and also the ability to recieve emails (through secure channel) and be able to display such messages on FileMaker.

Currently, our FileMaker has a layout for each member and their information (name, e-mail [text format], phone #, etc.), and I would like to add a feature (button, text box, etc.) allowing our own personel to send e-mail(s) to this particular member.

We also have LASSO server that's handling our online side of FileMaker with things like Membership sign-up, change of address, etc. Therefore, my preliminary thinking is:

1. have office personel enter a their desire message from the Member's Layout in FileMaker

2. FIND the FTP feature from FileMaker such that we can sent each of the text message (variable) up to LASSO server. Where each messsage will also contain the member's name, SSN, time stamp, date stamp.

3. Make sure of LASSO email feature to sent off these messages.

That just one way I thought of. Because FileMaker doesn't support PGP encryption I can't think of a way to directly sent a secure email from FileMaker.

Any prior experience in this would be GREATLY appreshiated. Thanks in advance.
