Newbies

It seems to be defined by the vertical dotted line. How can I make the full screen (except header and footer) available for field layout?

Welcome to the Forums.

The dotted line in Layout mode is an indicator of the printable area, and is controlled by what page size is selected in Print Setup. It's got nothing at all to do with Browse mode, and can be ignored except, of course, in layouts which will be printed.
