Newbies volunteer246 Posted January 30, 2002 Newbies Posted January 30, 2002 Hi, I am new to File Maker Pro 5 and I am doing a production status for the silkcreen shop I am working in. We get our shirts in the shop and when printed they go to the customer. Here is were I need the help. I want to know what formula or how to tell how many days the shirts have been siting on the shelf waiting to print. Please let me know if you can help me in any way. Thanks for reading this. Todd
Korky Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Define a field called (say) "Date_into_shop" as a Date type field and a calculation field called "Days_in_shop" with the calculation "Today-Date_into_shop". Choose "Number" as the calculation result. When a shirt goes to the print-shop, enter the date into the appropriate record. The "Days _in_shop" will update daily.
Vaughan Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Think about it. Do you mean "days" or "working days"? If you mean working days, it's much, much harder. I think there is a TechInfo article on a calculation for working days.
Newbies volunteer246 Posted January 31, 2002 Author Newbies Posted January 31, 2002 I tried to enter the info like you said Korky but something is not working still. I must be doing something wrong. Todd
