Exporting "Repeating Fields"

Hello All,

I have recently been trying to import a DBF File exported from FM Pro5 into MS Word for a Mail Merge, but have been running into problems where a Filemaker Record has multiple entries in specific fields. All applications I try and import this into create a new record for each entry.

The database is of a tape library so each record has a "Songs" field, some records have one entry while others have 20+.

I have got close with Mail merge but No Cigar, so have had to rethink my approach as FM seems more suited to this kind of problem.

What I would like to do is; as I export the records to a DBF file, FM looks at the songs entries and if there are more than one entries it will export each subsequent song under a new field, ie. Song2 Song3 etc..

Now, all this kind of thing is way out of my job description so what I have suggested may well be impossible or even ridiculous, So im turning to you guys.

If you have any advice or alternative suggestions they would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks 4 reading,

MarkRB
