WCP Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I have a database file that is getting a little large - it's getting to the point where I won't be able to back it up onto a CD anymore it's so large. I trimmed massive amounts of old and redundant entries from it, but it retains its original size. I've encountered this before with other programs and file types - usually doing a "Save as..." and saving it into a new file reduces the size (eg. Microsoft Word or Excel) or compacting mail folders in (eg. in Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird). However this does not seem to be the case with Filemaker. I would greatly appreciate it if you could please advise me on how to reduce this file size. Thank you.
RalphL Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 Have you tried Save a Copy As with Compressed Copy type?
