I am working on installing FileMaker Server Advanced 7v3 on a Windows 2003 server with IIS 6.0 installed. I have successfully installed the software for FileMaker Server Advanced but when I go to the web to configure the settings and then restart the service I get the error of "An Expected Error has occurred." I have tried stopping the Web Publishing engine and the IIS server without success. I am guessing it is an interaction with the IIS server but I am not sure.

Can anyone help?

Hi,

I just fixed the same problem on a Mac configuration. I had to do the following:

Uninstall everything and reboot

Install FM server 7

Update it to v7.03

Install FM server advanced

Update it to v7.03

Being extra cautious, I rebooted after each install. It's been running quite well for a few days now.

From memory I also prevented FM server from auto launching until I had installed the updates for both programs, this ensured that the updates went on properly.
