reverse creation order sort:can do it w/o a field?

This may be a silly question but the genuises out there continually surprise me so... is there a way to sort records in the reverse order in which they were created w/o making a "creation date" field and sort by that in descending order?

I have a GTRR in a script and, for various reasons, ... oh forget why. Is it possible?

OK, will answer my own question. These records have a serial ID field. Can descend sort by that. Same result. ...brain cramp.
