Am I correct in assuming that - all other things being equal - solutions with images referenced rather than imported/imbedded general will perform better (i.e. faster?)

Also - I am developing this solution for someone who wants to use it as I progress. I give him a new version on a regular basis. The umbrella folder for images (mentioned in an earlier post) which resides on both mine and his computer - needs updating less frequently. What would be the simplest / most reliable relative path to the folder so that the images can be found on both computers? (Macs)

Many thanks in advance. FMForums rules!

I've never seen any runtime performance differences with either embedding or referenced images. There might actually be, but I wouldn't have anything to back it up ooo.gif

One difference to note is when you start to get into CWP. Just the coding is different, but workable. I didn't know if you were even going to considered this as an option for your solution.

If you're exporting/importing the information frequently, then referenced pics are definately faster.

Thanks for your reply.

Culd you write a little more about the CWP issues you mentioned. I'm not familiar at all with this.

Thanks again!
