Newbies thingmaker Posted July 22, 2005 Newbies Posted July 22, 2005 Hi I am new FM user and I am moving my excel database projects over to a more logic format. In this example I have 10000 + contacts that chose between 40 different fields of interest. All yes or no. In FM7 I would like to convert those interests into a value list with yes/no radio buttons. Is there a way to combine defined fields into a value list? They all share a yes/no answer. Thanks! -Derryl
Sxeptomaniac Posted July 25, 2005 Posted July 25, 2005 I'm not completely sure what you are looking for, so here's a generic attempt to answer... When using radio button for a field, click a button next to an item simply enters that text into the field. On the reverse side, if the data is already in the field, setting up radio buttons using a value list containing the same data will cause the correct button to already be checked. You can create a new value list based on values from a particular field, then assign it to that field. If each of those fields already uses "Yes" and "No," you can simply create a custom value list using those values. When you assign it to that field, those entries will already be checked.
