Newbies E Secosky Posted July 26, 2005 Newbies Posted July 26, 2005 Hi, I am new to the forum and inherited a FileMaker Server environment for several departments. One department wants to use web publishing, so a test environment was created with FileMaker Server 7 Advanced running on MAC OSX 10.3.9 and the Web Publishing Core components. The Web server module and admin tools are installed on a Windows 2000 IIS 5 server and is used as the front end to the DB(Mac Filemaker). In order to get the pages to work, IIS 5 authentication needs to be disabled for the entire default site, which is where it is installed by default. Now, the permenant location that it will be living at will need to have authentication for the default site. After many days and attempts at getting authentication to work, my brain is fried. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get IIS authentiation to work with Web publishing correctly? Is it possible to move the "jakarta" virtual directory, to another Web site that is dedicated to web publishing, to isolate it from the default web site safely? Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Emery
