Newbies cbrockmeier Posted August 5, 2005 Newbies Posted August 5, 2005 Here's my setup: Filemaker Server Advanced 7.0v3 running on a dedicated machine with static internal IP address (192.168.x.x). Web server & FileMaker Web Publishing 7.0v3 engine running on Xserve with Panther 10.3.9. All is well with the database solution. Ten+ Filemaker clients connecting fine both internally and externally via FileMaker. We need to post some info via web for clients so I set up the FMServer on one machine and the web publishing engine and FM web server on our Xserve which already has our regular website on it. I can get to the admin console www.mydomain.com/fmi/config. It always says the publishing engine is not responding. They are on the same computer? I've then restarted the Web Publishing engine via terminal (sudo SystemStarter restart "FileMaker Web Publishing"). Log back into the Admin console and same result (publishing engine not responding). Note: During the restartart I did receive a HotSpot error: Welcome to Macintosh. Restarting FileMaker Publishing Engine restart succeeded. Using CATALINA_BASE: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat Using CATALINA_HOME: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat/temp Using JAVA_HOME: /usr HotSpot not at correct virtual address. Sharing disabled. Using CATALINA_BASE: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat Using CATALINA_HOME: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: /Library/FileMaker Server 7/Web Publishing/jakarta-tomcat/temp Using JAVA_HOME: /usr Startup complete. Hangup Anyone have any Idea? Is this a FileMaker Server problem or something I need to adjust on the Xserve. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Newbies cbrockmeier Posted August 11, 2005 Author Newbies Posted August 11, 2005 Figured it out. Adjusted settings for the Xserve.
Newbies scott_m29 Posted August 14, 2005 Newbies Posted August 14, 2005 I have pretty much the same problem you described earlier. When you say you fixed the problem, by adjusting settings on the Xserve, what might you have done? Can you share your solution? Thanks.
Newbies Kirk Mueller Posted September 26, 2005 Newbies Posted September 26, 2005 Yes, I am still experiencing the same problem. Could anyone shed some light on these Xserver Settings?
